All about Toms

Fashion is so amazing, but there is also something very amazing about helping others. When I first heard about the TOMS campaign I was so excited. The idea of buying a pair of shoes and at the same time giving one pair to children in need is awesome. I think every brand should do the same thing or at least something similar. The shoes are of excellent quality, they are super comfortable and they go very well with every single outfit. I personally instantly fell in love with the red ones, maybe because red is my favorite color. I also got the black glittery ones and every time I put them on everyone starts asking where I bought them. I got both pairs at Nordstrom and they are very affordable at around $50 dollars per pair. 
They are one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever bought. I recommend them one hundred percent. 

Pretty

Im so excited for Fall season, without a doubt it is one of my favorite seasons. I love the climate and the way I am able to layer many different pieces. Also, it is a perfect time to go shopping and stacking up the closet. I hope the temperatures start dropping, because up to now it still seems like summer in the East Coast.

Today it is sunday, a happy and relaxing day for me and hubby. A day for take out food, movies, and catching up on blogs and news.

It is smokey

I love doing my makeup and experimenting new things all the time. I think the eyes are a very important part of every girl. If you do them the right way, then you can define yourself and make a huge statement. I decided to experiment with a light smokey eye. I have to say I loved the end result. I used Urban Decay eyeshadows from a small shadow palette. I used a white and a black shadow. Then I used a MAC eye liner. I also wanted to show the new bracelets that I got. The silver with flowers one was bought in Hawaii in my most recent trip and the other one in a local store called 344. 
This outfit and makeup were for the Enrique Iglesias concert last night!

 

Waves

My hair is naturally straight, but lately it has been a combination of straight with lightly wavy. I am a fan of wavy hair, especially like the one of Rachel Zoe. Sadly, I do not have my own personal hair stylist that can make me have those perfect waves. But I do the best to manage it and try to get it as beautiful as hers. I used a Revlon 1 inch curling iron and these are the final results. 

Best of summer

Now that summer is almost gone and we are starting to feel cooler air, I think it is the perfect opportunity to write about the best things about summer. Summer for me was certainly a very special season. 
I spent the first months as a married woman, and enjoying my husband more and more everyday. 

I also moved to a new city and a new state very far from my previous home. Now we are living in the East Coast and enjoying every day of it!

I got to visit new places and the most wonderful of all was Hawaii. We had a very good time over there, lots of sun and beach involved.

Great and delicious food was also part of summer. I got to eat a lot of delicious stuff, without thinking about the calories, well at least not every day. 

 

Now lets see what this next season has to offer!

2011 Emmy Awards

The Emmy awards of this year were a very cool ceremony. I have to admit that most of the dresses were spectacular, and the ladies were really smart when picking out their dresses. Maybe the actresses are smart or they have awesome stylists. The color that prevailed the most was red. 

For me the best dressed are:

Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries)

Nina looked fabulous and radiant. She really knows how to rock the color red.

Emily Blunt

What can I say about Emily? She always looks amazing, I love her hair!

Heidi Klum (Project Runway)

The model by Christian Siriano that Heidi chose was a perfect match for her. The dress is awesomely designed and just fits her perfectly.

Sofia Vergara (Modern Family)

Sofia just looked flawless and amazing, she has a rocking body. She is so funny and down to earth and those are two things that really makes her look better. Her earrings were super pretty too.

Its all about the scarf...

One of the things that I love more about the cold weather is using scarfs. They are so perfect and they can improve an outfit as easy as counting 1, 2, 3. I was wearing a grey sweater from American Eagle and this beautiful turquoise  scarf that a friend gave me last year. I paired it with dark skinny jeans, my favorite earrings and of course my engagement and wedding rings. The nail polish is from Forever 21 and is called Mint.

Its starting to feel like autumn

I am so excited for autumn season to begin. Everything about it really puts me in a good mood. Hubby and I just moved a few months ago to the East Coast, and weather over here is completely different from the weather in the South (Texas to be more specific). So, one of the things that I am loving about living here is the fact of having the 4 seasons. Right now the weather is starting to change and it is getting cooler. I have been out and about purchasing new things for our home, everything that can set the mood for fall. 

Here is a simple thing I got, it is "Autumn smell" Potpurri, just inside a glass vase. It is so simple, yet so special. It smells wonderful and the colors are just perfect for the new season.
